no it's the problem for the OEM, how much flash he needs to put on the
device for his customer to be able to install "100 appstore apps".
(where "100" is a random number I picked, but it's a number that
normally comes from the marketing dept).
if each of those 100 pulls in a bunch of stuff from Extras... suddenly
that's a very different number for the core OS

Err... that doesn't really make sense. The answer is the same either way. It's just the poor dweeb that does the calculation now has to include the deps.

And even so... 100 appstore apps... what % of them have a full python install they're carrying along? (Many apps in Maemo Extras are python apps). The chances are the value is lower when you have Extras.
