I think Nokia had already hinted saying that MeeGo would be for their
high-end devices only and Symbian for the rest which I think is the right
way. If the hardware is not capable, why spend time/money/energy on it
porting to a low powered device then? Doing that, you will too much
complicate the process and finally yourself.

Look what Microsoft, Google and virtually every one else are doing now. They
all are going the same route. The route of dictating the minimum hardware
specs required to run their respective OS's.
