There are any number of reasons for that, including "it's cheaper".

Agreed and that's my entire point.

I'm saying it's not a MeeGo problem. I'm saying it's that vendor's problem.

Your arguments seemed to imply that they shouldn't be _allowed_ to use non-
open source drivers because they are using MeeGo.
