<< as i was one of the first to reply this time i'll restate what i
said then. it depends on the Best Buy you go to. the best buy's in my
areas have several home decks and many portables. i hate to burst your
bubble but around here they have yet to eliminate either kind. >>

There of course will be stores that still have clearance models
remaining. As they cannot be returned to the manufacturer, minidisc
decks that are not sold will remain on the floor until they do. That
does not mean that they have not been eliminated as a current product
line. I have access over our corporate intranet to every planogram
version available for Best Buy's Digital Recorders section, so I will
look again, but I am pretty darn sure that Corporate is indeed
eliminating the component decks *nationwide*. For one thing, I have not
been able to find any new models in our SKU database replacing the
models that are being clearanced out, and none were indicated for the
minidisc decks that were mentioned on the last planogram that they
appeared on. (Incidentally, however, I have not checked again over the
past three months, but I have found no reason to check again.)
By the way, Matt, you can't burst my bubble if I'm right, which I am.
Besides, how could anyone take seriously any person who is too lazy to
use the Caps key on his keyboard?
