I'm not sure what the state of that is -all the changes related to it. it does depend on Java 17 support which is tagged as open https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HADOOP-17177 1. I think some JIRAs need cleaning up. 2. While production hdfs/ yarn may hit problems, Istvan's work should mean the basic stuff is good.
