Hi John!

To my recollection, shape files carry _no_ projection information, i.e.
you have to _know_ what coordinate system they are in in order to import
them correctly.

UT is only intended for format conversion, and cannot be used for
coordinate transformation.
Attempts to do so will result in completely unpredictable results.
