It is equally easy to run a separate DNS server for use by mail server, and
a second one for use by clients running browsers, and exempt the first DNS
server as *target* IP address in the firewall.

If you use devices (ie. firewalls) that cause problems, it's your job to
provide workarounds for these problems.
