using Gitlab issues to collaborate which has been quite successful. I would be

I run a public museum; our team uses (MM3-based) mailing lists for
collaboration and coordination. It works well, though I've found that
everyone under the age of about 40 says "Hey we should do this on
Discord!" ...to which I flatly reply "NO." (it is good to be the boss)
But the fact remains that it works very well, and it's very good (for
our use case) to have the history.
