Thanks. My thoughts are that as we replace a lot of the underlying
components of M, it is good to know what we are aiming for at the end.
ie When we replace the composer, we need to realise it affects both
email and news. Therefore we need to understand the end goal before we
make a half baked / incorrect effort.

I don't either. I have lost count of how many newsreaders I have tried
over the years. At the oment I am on 40tude Dialog but it is not
completely wonderful either.

Thanks, I read it! I agree with what you said. I'm also more inclined
towards your flatter folder / selection structure for display purposes
regardless of what the underlying data representation is.

I agree but when we make a mail composer, we have to eave enough hooks
that it can be made to do similar in News mode otherwise, we just end
up at stage one again.
