As a different data point, I still use Mageia 1 (mainly because I'm happy with Gnome 2 and don't want to switch to hell), but I'm ok with Mageia 1 being EOL'ed. I think the developers would better spend their time concentrating on making a polished, high-quality Mageia 3 (and then I can install it and switch to XFCE :-)). Regards Antoine.
