Well, if we can guarantee that a trivial error causing a bad build does not wipe out the package to be updated and wreak havoc on it's dependencies + we don't need a staging repo that would serve as a base for promote (maybe after a cursory glance at a diff/changelog of powers that be ?), then a queue is just as fine.
