Moblin and Ubuntu platforms are based on GTK+ and the Maemo Hildon
extensions, so at least the interfaces should be compatible.

As for distribution - you can't build fully open maemo based distribution
for the N8x0 hardware (yet, though Mer tries), since part of its drivers are
closed or controlled by closed userspace daemons, but most other parts are
open so its probably possible for other hardware.
