OK The problem with the edit button not working stems from the appimage being mounted as root. this makes the /tmp/.mount_arDwp7/lib/libQt5Core.so.5 file inacessable.
running the appimage with sudo makes the edit button open/show the qml file in the/a konsole window in some sort of editor without any editor selection dialog...hmmmm On Friday, 31 May 2019 21:26:06
