The USB problem has been spotted by the TI support here: 
“Linux/PROCESSOR-SDK-AM335X: USB gadget issue with RT kernel” 
https://e2e.ti.com/support/arm/sitara_arm/f/791/p/675060/2486199

 

But it looks like they are not going to send the patch to the kernel.org, 
because they are not seeing the problem in the mainline of 4.16. But the 
mainline is not an RT kernel.

 

I am also have the problem as I am using Sancloud Beaglebone Enhanced with 
build in WIFI. The WIFI chip is connected to the am3358 by USB. So I have 
disabled the rtl8xxu driver from being loaded.
