Ah well, no firewire. Nevertheless, the RAM is cheap for those and the HD is easy to change.

Not really, John... Slot CD iMacs came in Blueberry, too...

A quote from Dan's iMac sorting page (first link below):

"The first round of slot-loading iMacs came in the same "fruity flavors" as their predecessors. Later iMacs went with a different color scheme, so if you see a slot-loading iMac in blueberry, strawberry, lime, tangerine, or grape, you know it's from the first generation.

iMac 350
The 1999 350 MHz iMac came in blueberry, which clearly distinguishes it from the 350 MHz indigo iMac released in 2000. Neither of the 350 MHz iMacs includes a FireWire port."

If you REALLY want to sort out the iMacs go to:

And there is a chart summary at <http://www.lowendmac.com/imac/ guide.html>

OK crew, got the scoop on it. Family number is M4984 which means it's a tray load, either 266 or 333. This info is from this site, http://www.galaxyhp.com/ieMac/notes_iemac.html#blu which sounds legit, although it may not be. Anyway it is the only one I could find that lists the family numbers that match this unit.

I'm going to pick it up this week. I'm taking your word that it's not a slug! Just kidding, I'm sure it will be fun. I have some old ram kicking around that I hope fits. The next great Canadian novel may be written on this blueberry Imac!
Thanks for the tips.
