Can't say I've had problems with keyboards and Mac OS X (of course, I
used to use an ADB keyboard with my G3 tower rather than the crap USB
keyboard that came with it ;-)

However, I have had problems with mice, believe it or not. I once had
a (cheap) LogiTech model that refused to function with OS X (no clicks
on three different machines) but did happily work with OS 9 (on the
same machine as one of the OS X experiments so it wasn't the
circuitry). But, in general mice are a pretty safe lot. Two+one
buttons and a scroll wheel are supported by most OS X apps nowadays.
