The update is when I updated 10.2.8 to 3, ALTERING the 10.2.8 System to
10.3. The 10.3 install is when I, after testing the "update", initialized
the drive (with Journaling off) and installed a fresh, virgin copy of
Panther.

I actually did not use the "Archive And Install" option, which renames the
existing System folder and installs a fresh one (like "clean install" in OS
9). I wasn't sure if I would have had enough space for it.
