sorry...not on any of the lists I'm on....anybody calls someone else an
insensitive clod it's an insult. Name-calling usually meets with mixed
results (depending on how well you know the person). They also don't waste
posts on frivolity, that's why people will  take it the wrong way (again,
unless they know the person VERY well). There have been incidents on this
list of just this very thing...erupting into large scale flames. Mac Duff
can probably tell you better than I.

when you use a cheeky remark...it's a gamble how the recipient reacts....too
ambiguous. A smile works better :-) or a wink ;-)

I suspected you might be. I have a friend who is French-Canadian and can be
sensitive about these sort of things and has taken people to task over them,
so I am keenly aware of it.
