I have recently acquired an old Jaz drive with 3 disks. Having been told that one of the disks was wonky I set out to reformat it using iomega's tools. The disk promptly failed to format 4 times. Not surprisingly Apple's utility didn't recognize the disk. However, after 3 tries Silverlining initialized the disk just fine. My question is:

Is there a problem using a non-iomega driver with the Jaz drive?

I could reformat using iomega's utilities but, given my problems, I would like to leave well enough alone.

Mark

P.S. If anybody has Jaz disks for sale really cheap I would be interested
