This may seems to be an odd question however... as some on the list may recall my beloved iMac died earlier this year; I purchased an eMac in its place and then I went on to make my chaos with that machine, finally returning it to the dealer and receiving C$1000.00 on a trade-in for a new 800Mhz iBook. The iBook is great and still has a proper operating system; 9.2! It also has X marks the spot in the background as well however I never venture there...
So now I'd like to record from some 78 rpm records on to a compact disc. Yes I could go the audio cassette route and may well do so if the current plan fails. The iBook has no inputs as far as I can see, from an external audio source other than the microphone 3/4 of way up the right side of the laptop screen. A firewire output, plus two USB connectors, that's it, oh and a headphone jack... The instructions do tell me I can record from a playlist, however where does one get the playlist? I have no idea what MP3 (three military police?) is supposed to mean; and of course we in Canada aren't able yet to obtain songs from Apple's vast library. Doubt too in retrospect anything Apple has for sale wouldn't want in my audio library! So may I record on this 800 Mhz iBook using 9.2 anything of an audio nature? Or do I not even bother?
