If those on this list wish to recall I was getting the runaround from Sympatico, on a standard dial-up service. Sympatico on the one hand told me I only had one meg of storage space however could get ten megs IF I went to high speed. I phoned the help service any number of times, always got different replies, as sympatico kept sending me messages (sometime fifteen or more a day) telling me my mailbox was full!
I don't want need or desire high-speed; which the idiots on the help desk at sympatico could not get through their mind. Every time, go to high speed...$44.95 instead of $21.95, better in my pocket than theirs; and i am a Bell stockholder. Ended up at a server company on the east end of Hamilton Mountain. ispnet.ca I want to speak with people I am dealing with on a one to one basis, not some disjointed voice at the end of the twisted pair. No problem 20 megs of storage space, for an extra $1.00 a month , that would be great! So that's where I went, Yes they do high speed, yes they are Mac friendly both OSX and 8.6 and beyond. The service works, I am happy. My only long term concern is will the ISP get bought out by the bigger players? More cost less service, less friendly? Guess it's wait and see...
