Hi Michael, This is a good example for learning how to give a better email or bug report. You gave very little information in your first email. In general, it would be great when reporting a problem if you always gave your OS and OS version, your LyX version, and sent a minimal example: http://wiki.lyx.org/FAQ/MinimalExample I know it's hard to understand what information helps if you don't know what the problem is, I would recommend this advice for most bugs/strange behavior and most software. This is just advice that I've learned myself when asking questions. I get more responses when I include more information (if in doubt, give too much information). For example, it's very useful information that you only have the problem with this file (I'm gathering that from you saying "everything worked well with this file"). Or am I wrong and you have the problem with a new document? Once you send a Minimal Example and give more information it should be easier to figure out if the problem is document specific.
