Do you get an output when you install booktabs?
Second remark
I did not use the sidecap package described in the EmbeddedObjects manual, but
the Koma-book version of it, captionbeside.
I know, I only wanted to know if you found some mistakes or have
annotations in case you also tried the sidecap solution.
