gosh that seems unfortunate and frustrating.
Over the years I have come across all sorts of options, a beep, the voice louder, and even a pitch increase. largely intended to keep people from well using upper case in ways not defined by grammar rules.
To type in upper case in an email is considered shouting I believe.
Likely part of why branden found the choice confusing smiles.
