On reflection, forget that.  Earlier, you had said that you didn't see the 
delay if you used the "LIVE555 Proxy Server".  Because that uses the same 
back-end code (a RTSP client) as your unicast-to-multicast proxying 
application, it's unlikely that OS socket buffering is the problem.
