No, when I connect directly to the source I do not have any delay. I have it only when connecting through the proxy.

I am connecting through a Gigabit ethernet. I have a switch dedicated to this test: I just have the video server, a pc with the proxy and a pc with the viewers. I have the same behaviour even if I run the viewer on the same pc as the proxy, this is why I have supposed that it is not a network problem.
Thank you
Bill

Once I connect a client to my proxy everything works correctly

I noticed this opening with the same player (Axis Media Control)
both streams: the original and the proxied one.

Just to be clear - are you saying that you see this delay even if
there is no LIVE555-based proxy server between your server and your
client? If that's the case, then the delay cannot have anything to do
with our code!

(Is the multicast stream happening over a WiFi link? If so, then that
could be your problem - WiFi links are notoriously bad for streaming
multicast.)
