FYI, the latest version (2007.11.01) of the "LIVE555 Streaming Media" software includes an update to the "openRTSP" application <http://www.live555.com/openRTSP/>, that changes several of the command-line options, and adds two new options to request 'trick play' operations.

In particular:
- 'Verbose' output is now the default. The -V argument now *disables* verbose output
- The -e and -E options have been changed to -d and -D (respectively)
- The -s option has been changed to -S
- A new option
        -s <initial-seek-time>
has been added. This tells "openRTSP" to request that the server seek to the specified time before starting the stream
- A new option
        -z <scale>
has been added. This tells "openRTSP' to request that the server scale the stream (for fast-forward, slow play, or reverse play).

For more information about these new 'trick play' options, see <http://www.live555.com/openRTSP/#trick-play>

For a summary of all of the command-line options to "openRTSP", see
