The bug was reported for NMDC (I know because I reported it), so given
what you've said the correct resolution is Won't Fix; the other bug is
(apparently) not going to change anything with regards this bug.

Bug description:
DC++ does not consider ".mp4" files as video in NMDC searches, which hinders
