BTW, the real problem with 2.4Ghz is that it can be terribly over crowded in urban areas. There is one place downtown where I can see 120 routers. There are also only three real channels at 2.4Ghz 1, 7, 11. The rest is marketing BS. When you set 11n to wide mode it uses two of the three channels. Add all of this up and it is easy to end up with 1Mb/s throughput from 2.4Ghz wifi. 5Ghz is hardly used and it has 50 available channels. You will rarely encounter any crowding.
