Well, some problems you just can't fix. It's like someone wearing a
disguise and then complaining you didn't greet them when they passed
you on the street.

It might be possible to make licq periodically try to make a direct
connection to them to see if their client responds, but that would be
like walking up to random people and pulling at their beard to see if
they're one of your friends dressed up.
