            Bug ID: 167556
           Summary: Provide a count of hidden rows/columns in the "Show
                    Columns" and "Show Rows" contextual menu actions'
                    labels
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: Inherited From OOo
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: medium
         Component: Calc
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

This is a small UX enhancement proposal for Calc, in areas like:

* The contextual menu that shows up when you right-click a selection of row
headers (ex: 1 2 3 5) or column headers (ex: A B C D E)

* The "Row" and "Column" menubuttons in the "Layout" section of the tabbed (and
tabbed compact) notebookbar, where the same actions are present

---

Currently, those menus contain the "Hide Rows" (or "Hide Columns") and "Show
Rows" (or "Show Columns") actions.

However, if you have a whole range of rows or columns selected, it would be
nice if those actions were labelled more specifically, by including the number
of hidden rows/columns in the label. So for example, they could say:

* "Show %d Rows"
* "Show %d Columns"

…where %d is the number of hidden rows/columns that would be unhidden from the
selected range. Probably using ngettext for proper plurals support, if
LibreOffice uses gettext for translatable strings.
