Bug ID: 167555
Summary: LibreOffice Images Properties->Crop menu does not crop
images by specified amount in inches
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 25.2.4.3 release
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: LibreOffice
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
I had a photo today that I was looking to crop to 6"x4" size in LibreOffice
Writer. The original photo had a size of 6.93"x5.19". Upon entering a crop of
0.93"x1.19" (which should’ve reduced the image size to 6"x4"), the size of the
image was only reduced to 6.57"x4.85". I attached an image that shows the
issue. Eventually, I ended up getting to a 6"x4" image size by cropping
left/right by 2.25" and top/bottom by 3.25", which makes absolutely no sense to
me.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open new LibreOffice document.
2. Copy and paste an image into the document.
3. Click on the image, go to properties, then crop.
4. Enter a value in inches to crop the photo by.
Actual Results:
The photo does not crop by the number of inches that is entered.
Expected Results:
The image is cropped by the number of inches that is entered (0.93"x1.19" in
this example).
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: Yes
