What's a bit puzzling is that when I clicked 'check for a newer version' in the menu, it always assured me that I was up to date. I suspect that a huge part of the user base might be stuck with the old version because the software seems unable to become aware of the existence of newer versions. People would not normally think of going to the website to look for a newer version when their software itself tells them none exists.
