--- Comment #29 from Colin <[email protected]> --- (In reply to ady from comment #28) > All the reports about keyboard shortcuts aimed at inserting date and/or time > will keep showing up in one way or another, until the shortcuts (for any UI > language, any OS language, and any keyboard layout) are implemented as: > I'm not sure if all software packages where you may be able to insert a date or time (attempt to) utilise the modified colon and semi-colon keys or whether it is only Spreadsheets. Excel certainly recognises my Scandinavian keyboard and accepts CTRL+SHIFT modifiers to access the semi-colon [SHIFT]+"," & Colon [SHIFT]+"." - producing Date and Time respectively. Also, a space between the two procedures will produce a cell formatted for date & time. I have no idea whether some keyboard layouts in LO will also permit stringing the two formats together in one cell as I can't get one of anything. With LO the lack of recognition that the keys are not consistently mapped forces me to use Ribbon buttons for inserting dates and times - much better than manual entry. LO will also permit me to click both buttons in one cell to produce the date_time string. Perhaps some users would benefit from a little more publicity for those two buttons which must be manually added to the ribbon. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
