I know we have dealt with this problem recently, but I can't find any reference in bugs, the mailing lists, or on discuss - I'll have to keep hunting unless someone else remembers and shares a pointer. In the meantime, go to Configure/KMymone..., select Gemeral and the Support tab, and see if changing the Log path lets you control where that file gets created.
