Previously, there was barely one second pause at this point.

Has anyone else noticed this? Any clues as to the cause?

I noticed recently Jack mentioned that KDE 4.13.3 was shown somewhere
as 'unstable'. I haven't found any similar problem mentioned

I'm using KDE 4.13.3 here on Slackware 14.1 and I don't see those
messages or the pause.

David.

Thanks Dave, that's sad!

On googling those warnings, I found the same list, with one extra at the end, albeit in different circumstances, in 2012. Whoever was answering that query said those warnings may be ignored, as they are Windows types.

I'm less worried about those than about the delay - I tend to be impatient!
