Hi,
написане Sun, 08 Sep 2013 23:28:17 +0300, Jack <ostrof...@sbcglobal.net>:
I've finally freed up enough time to catch up on some of the outstanding
documentation updates.
First question: I see that the string freeze is already in effect.
Does this apply equally to the documentation (manual) and if so, are
there any high priority changes that might warrant requesting an
exception? I am thinking specifically about updating the csv import
plugin section to match the changes he has made since the last release.
Also - it might be worth updating the "what's new" section.
I guess that the string freeze is for the stable branch only. So you can
do whatever you want in git/master or any other development branch.
Second question: to make it easier for me to check the results of my
doc edits, I like to run meinproc4 to create an html version. I know I
can do this in a directory outside my git clone, but I keep forgetting,
and just doing it in the doc directory. Would it be appropriate and
reasonable to add a line "docs/*html" to .gitignore?
Git will not add files to the commit until you explicitly add them (git
add *) so it is relatively safe to work with git as is. You can control
the things with "git status".
Thanks.
Jack
Hope this helps.
Best regards,
Yuri
