Sorry for taking this long to respond. I've tested both the kernel you 
suggested and the one after it (3.19-rc3-vivid), and Bluetooth worked in both. 
Also Bluetooth worked in my current kernel (3.16.0-28) with the original 
modules moved back and also the older kernel present on my system (3.16.0-23). 
In the meantime a couple of packages were updated, including linux-firmware, 
which may have something to do with it.  I'll try downgrading that and see if 
it re-introduces the bug.
