- This bug is associated with launchpad's question #257206. Since the
- question did not receive any useful answer, I thought to scale up the
- issue.
+ The default bluetooth app is not able to activate the bluetooth. I installed
blueman, and through it I could switch on the bluetooth (at least it says it is
on). However when I do a search it cannot detect any remote device. Although I
set the device as visible, it doesn't show up when scanning with another
bluetooth device. Hcitool seems to detect the local device:

- In order to be 100% sure, since I made several tests for another problem
- I have with the touchpad, I reinstalled entirely the whole system, so
- now I'm running a fresh install of Ubuntu 14.04 on the mentioned
- notebook.

- The Notebook is equipped with a Qualcomm Atheros, the wifi is working fine -
at least so it appears to me.
- The bluetooth app is not able to activate the bluetooth.
