Public bug reported: [ Impact ]
Similar to LP: #2129011, on 6.14.0-33-generic, some GPT2-based platforms also suffer from eDP issues caused by outdated firmware. This has been observed on some latest HP platforms. [ Fix ] Update the PSP_14_0_4 bins to the latest. This includes the following files: 1. amdgpu/psp_14_0_4_ta.bin[1] 2. amdgpu/psp_14_0_4_toc.bin[2] [ Test ] 1. Install the kernel and the updated linux-firmware on the said GPT2 platforms. 2. Boot into the OS. The eDP should not show garbage. 2. Repeat the above steps on a platform with KRACKEN processor. The eDP should also function normally. [ Where the problems could occur ] This should affect only the PSP 14.0.4 hardware. This currently afftects the GPT2 and Krackan[3] platfroms.
