For your first comment I took these steps to see if it would help.
last two commands seem strange as it can't see nividia also the above commands
shows it exist.

Step 1: Check Display Controller
Command: sudo lshw -c display
Output:
*-display
description: VGA compatible controller
product: GA107 [GeForce RTX 2050]
vendor: NVIDIA Corporation
logical name: /dev/fb0
configuration: depth=32 driver=nvidia latency=0 mode=1920x1080
resolution=1920,1080 visual=truecolor
Result: The proprietary NVIDIA driver (driver=nvidia) is active.

Step 2: Check NVIDIA Driver Status
Command: nvidia-smi
Output:
Driver Version: 580.65.06
CUDA Version: 13.0
GPU Name: GeForce RTX 2050
GPU is handling graphics for GNOME Shell.
No communication errors, driver is working properly.

Step 3: Check Kernel Modules
Command: lsmod | grep nvidia
Output:
nvidia_uvm 2158592 0
nvidia_drm 135168 18
nvidia_modeset 1744896 5 nvidia_drm
nvidia 14360576 102 nvidia_uvm,nvidia_modeset
drm_ttm_helper 16384 1 nvidia_drm
nvidia_wmi_ec_backlight 12288 0
video 77824 4 nvidia_wmi_ec_backlight,asus_wmi,asus_nb_wmi,nvidia_modeset
wmi 28672 5 video,nvidia_wmi_ec_backlight,asus_wmi,wmi_bmof,mfd_aaeon
Result: All expected NVIDIA kernel modules are loaded.

Step 4: PRIME Configuration
Command: sudo prime-select query
Output: on-demand

Command: sudo prime-select nvidia
Output: Error: no integrated GPU detected.

Title:
Asus TUF Gaming A15 (FA506NFR) fails to wake from suspend — stuck on
black screen (Ubuntu 24.04.3, kernel 6.14.0-33)

Status in linux-hwe-6.14 package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
On my Asus TUF Gaming A15 FA506NFR laptop (AMD Ryzen CPU), Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS
cannot wake up properly after suspend.
When resuming from sleep, the screen remains black and the system becomes
unresponsive, requiring a hard reboot.

  Steps to reproduce:

1- Close the lid or choose “Suspend” from the power menu.
2- Wait until the system fully sleeps.
3- Try to wake using keyboard, touchpad, or power button.
4- The fans spin up but the screen stays off and system doesn’t respond.

  Expected:
System should resume from suspend normally.

  Actual:
Black screen, no response, hard power-off needed.

  Debugging tried:

  1- Verified current sleep mode → cat /sys/power/mem_sleep → output: [s2idle]
2- Tried adding kernel parameter: mem_sleep_default=deep → no effect
  3- BIOS version: FA506NFR.304 (Jan 2025)
  4- Kernel version: 6.14.0-33-generic
  5- Ubuntu version: 24.04.3 LTS
6- Secure Boot: Enabled (also tested disabled → no change)
7- NVIDIA drivers uninstalled → issue persists (so unrelated to GPU)
  8- BIOS doesn’t expose S3 sleep option.

  Additional info:
This seems related to ACPI / s2idle sleep mode on Ryzen laptops.
Many Asus TUF users report identical issues — forcing “deep” mode (S3) is
ignored.
Please advise if S3 is blocked at firmware level or requires kernel parameter
updates.
