After updating to kernel 6.14.0-24-generic on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, the
touchpad stopped working completely. No cursor is visible, and libinput
list-devices shows no touchpad device. External USB mice work.
Booting into kernel 6.11.0-29-generic restores touchpad functionality.
