It seems that 'linux-modules-extra-6.8.0-45-generic' is the last version to be required by 'linux-image-generic-hwe-22.04' which in turn is installed by 'linux-generic-hwe-22.04'. And it was installed too long ago for the reason to stay in logs. I probably installed manually at some point cause my hardware was quite new.
What would be the proper "root" package to make sure further upgrades go well? Is it just 'linux-generic'? Or should I go with 'linux-generic-hwe-24.04' ? I assume the HWE one won't be upgraded automatically to a newer release? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux-firmware in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2103928 Title: No usb or bluetooth support on 6.8.0-55 Status in linux-firmware package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: I'm running ubuntu 24.04 on a Dell XPS laptop kernel 6.8.0-45 works well When upgraded to 6.8.0-55 - there is seemingly no proper usb support (external devices don't work), no external monitor available, bluetooth is absent and touchpad works in a very basic mode.
