You are absolutely right there is no linux-modules- extra-6.8.0-55-generic installed.
And you are right in regards that installing it solves the issue for me. Thank you! Any guesses about where it all gone wrong? I mean, the package description tells me that it probably should be installed automatically and it didn't work for me. Is it because I messed up my setup somewhere? What would be the proper package to install? Just in case, I'm attaching the output of dpkg -l, if it helps. ** Attachment added: "packages.txt" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-firmware/+bug/2103928/+attachment/5866836/+files/packages.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux-firmware in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2103928 Title: No usb or bluetooth support on 6.8.0-55 Status in linux-firmware package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: I'm running ubuntu 24.04 on a Dell XPS laptop kernel 6.8.0-45 works well When upgraded to 6.8.0-55 - there is seemingly no proper usb support (external devices don't work), no external monitor available, bluetooth is absent and touchpad works in a very basic mode.
