Public bug reported: after update on linux-firmware package from 20240318.git3b128b60-0ubuntu2 to 20240318.git3b128b60-0ubuntu2.10 on LTS Kubuntu The Noble Numbat, my laptop wifi and Bluetooth adaptaters stopped working. I did an lsusb and lspci after the failed update, and the devices were identified but they don't work. My laptop is a toshiba satellite and the devices are listed as:
Network controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8723AE PCIe Wireless Network Adapter Toshiba Corp. RT Bluetooth Radio I did a downgrade to 20240318.git3b128b60-0ubuntu2 and the wifi is working fine. The bluetooth never had worked perfectly, but is working with this previous version of the package, instead of stopping working all together as it happened after the update. ** Affects: linux-firmware (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux-firmware in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2102712 Title: Linux-firmare update disabled realtek wifi and toshiba bluetooth Status in linux-firmware package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: after update on linux-firmware package from 20240318.git3b128b60-0ubuntu2 to 20240318.git3b128b60-0ubuntu2.10 on LTS Kubuntu The Noble Numbat, my laptop wifi and Bluetooth adaptaters stopped working.
