In Bluetooth the default headset profile is indeed lower quality than
you would want for music. Have a look in Settings > Sound to change the
profile in use.

  To reproduce:
  Fresh "installation"
  Connect any bluetooth headset or speaker
  Play any youtube video (preferably music you're familiar with, so the issue 
is more apparent)
  You will notice the audio is poor quality, not a lot of high end as well as 
what sounds like a lot of digital distortion.

  Not sure of the cause just yet, but filing the bug so we can add more
  info in the comments.

  I noticed this on a Pi 400 and Pi 4, did not test on a Pi 5.
