Hi @ktecho,

I have gone over all of the logs and files you have provided, and
unfortunately nothing is standing out as the cause of the reboots.

If there was a kernel log of what happened at the reboot time, there is
very little to investigate this.

Without a serial port to capture the kernel log, I don't know the best
way to get the kernel messages in this case. The problem with it
rebooting is, it may be happening before the logs hit the disk, or there
could just be nothing in the logs if it was a hardware issue that caused
the reboot.

Also. because you hit this issue using the XanMod kernel and an Ubuntu
kernel, this isn't something specific to the Ubuntu kernels, which makes
it harder to investigate.

I think the next steps would be:

1) check the log files in /var/log/ (mostly dmesg.* and syslog.*) and
see if any contain the reboot. That could provide useful info possibly.
If they contain sensitive data you would rather not share, you can trim
them down to the boot->reboot->boot section of the logs.

2) update the BIOS to the latest BIOS, and see if that fixes anything.

3) You can try using a Mainline build
(https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/MainlineBuilds) with a much newer
kernel, and see if that fixes it. The documentation in that link does
seem dated, but the info is still valid, and still points to the
mainline kernels. You can try installing one of the latest kernels, and
testing with it. But, as this takes days to reproduce, I am not sure
how feasible this is.

I would recommend at least 1) and 2) from above. I understand the 3) may not
be possible though.

On a side note: I know you said that Windows is stable, but Windows and
Linux sometimes suspend a system differently, so maybe something dealing
with the suspend/resume is triggering a hardware/acpi bug.

Title:
  LG gram suddenly restarts itself

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Ubuntu version: Kubuntu 24.04 LTS
  Kernel version: 6.8.0-39-generic

  Al packages updated to current.

Since 1 or 2 months ago, the computer crashes, restarting suddenly.
What happens is the power light goes off and everything shuts down,
then it starts again with the LG gram logo. It would appear as a
hardware problem, but I've had Windows 10 installed for a few weeks
  and it worked flawlessly.

I had the XanMod kernel installed, so I thought the problem could be
related with that, but I've now reinstalled cleanly Kubuntu 24.04
without any PPA related with drivers, and the problem is appearing
  again.
