Crashed boot

Bug description:
After updating Linux Mint 21, along with kernal updates from 5.15.0-48.
Update hung near end of kernal update and never moved. Rebooted and system
would hang at flashing courser after booting to just after the login and pw and
would just hang there.
Had to start in emergency mode and revert to kernal 5.15.0-48.
