Binary package hint: initramfs-tools
Karmic Alpha 4 release does not have the SDHCI drivers in the
initram. SD card supported BIOS cannot boot the ubuntu without
customizing the initrd.img . But it is possible to install the OS
on SD card without customizing the Ubuntu Karmic Alpha 4
