When this arises I can still click on the sidebar, and in the menu of the application that has focus. However, clicking on an icon on my desktop doesn't work and clicking on a button, textfield, etc. inside an application does not work either. I can still move around in the app (using <tab> and <enter>), but my mouse clicks do nothing. No left or right click, and no double click.
